Richard Allen

The author spent his working life in England and Wales as a solicitor in private practice and as a freelance law lecturer. He is married with four children. Now retired, he lives on a smallholding in the backwoods of Portugal's Alentejo where he intends to remain, notwithstanding Brexit. He has dual British/Portuguese nationality. His favourite poets are T. S. Eliot, W. H. Auden, Gillian Clarke and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen.
