Jean Ramm
Born and raised on a farm in Lincolnshire, the author led a restless youth, emigrating to Australia where she earned a degree in arts and social science from the University of Sydney. She went on to work in the prison system as a parole officer before focusing on writing. Over the years, her articles and short stories have been published in various magazines, many during the rise of women’s liberation in the 1970s. She published a collection of short stories, Passing the Baton, in 2012, followed by her debut novel, Curtains, in 2016.
Now living in Herne Bay, she thanks the local writing group at Beach Creative as a stimulating creative influence.
