Mick Price
Now retired, Mick Price originally worked as a computer operator and programmer, working his way up through systems development to computer manager with several companies in the private and public sectors. With an interest in mathematics and a desire to teach, he later trained as a teacher, and on qualifying, gained positions with several schools and sixth form colleges teaching mathematics from year 7 up to GCSE in year 13.
More recently, Mick has worked as a college lecturer, teaching key skills maths and BTEC as well as HNC and degree level. His particular specialism, however, was in teaching GCSE Mathematics to re-takers and adult students in tertiary and FE colleges. He has been instrumental in the development of many courses and learning materials over his 30 or so years in education.
The author now lives with his wife in the Fens, where he enjoys birdwatching and real ale.
