Euan McCall
In his early 20s, Euan McCall trained as a local news reporter, covering everything from crime to village fetes. Stories included anything from judging the largest marrow competition to dressing up as Santa for seven hours for a Christmas feature story (where babies were sick on him often). Despite being pretty average at his job he had stories published locally, regionally, and nationally. After failing one of his key journalistic exams 17 times (Shorthand – basically speed writing!), he decided a change of direction was required and has since very happily worked as a career adviser in schools, colleges and universities. After being raised in the Midlands near his beloved Coventry City FC, he now lives with his wife and two children near Banbury. The Swan Island Boy is Euan’s first novel.
