I grew up in a family that loved reading. Holidays meant more time to read, but on the beach for a change of scenery. I love the escape that reading provides, the complete absorption into a book and a world so far away that the realities of everyday life get tucked away safely for a few minutes, preferably hours. I believe that our souls were not made for this world, for the mundane routines, but rather for the magic that we escape to when we read.
