Jia Lin Li
Professor Li Jialin, the doctoral supervisor, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Director of Zhejiang Silk and Fashion Culture Research Center, doctoral supervisor, founder of modern Chinese brocade. He has been selected as a special expert of Zhejiang Province, a leading talent in philosophy and social sciences of the national “Ten Thousand Plan”, a cultural celebrity of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and a talent of the “Four Batch”, and an expert enjoying the special government allowance of The State Council. He has successively served as the evaluation expert of the National Science and Technology Award, the Art Evaluation expert of the National Social Science Foundation, and the evaluation expert of “Changjiang Scholars” of the Ministry of Education. As the first finisher, he has won the Second Prize of National Technology Invention, the First Prize of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, the first Prize of China Textile Science and Technology Progress, the Gold Prize of National Invention Expo, the Silver Prize of Nuremberg International Invention Expo in Germany, and many gold MEDALS of “Hundred Flowers Award” of Chinese Arts and Crafts. A number of works have been selected as “state gifts” for foreign heads of state. His works have been collected by the Palace Museum in Beijing, the National Museum of China, the National Library, the Silk Museum of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Museum and so on.
Wang Taidi graduated from the China Academy of Art and obtained a Master’s degree from the School of Jewelry at Birmingham City University in the United Kingdom. She is currently the Deputy Director of the Department of Fashion and Accessory Design at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and serves as the Head of the Jewelry Design Program. She is also a board member of the Zhejiang Province Jewelry & Jade Industry Association, a member of the China Arts and Crafts Association, and holds an HRD Antwerp diamond grading certification.
Focusing on fashion design theory and practice, as well as digital fashion culture research, she has led multiple major provincial-level projects and published six core journal articles (including one indexed by EI). Wang Taidi has been recognized with two provincial-level first prizes and two second prizes for teaching achievements. She has also overseen five departmental-level teaching reform projects and 17 industry-collaboration initiatives, building three provincial first-class courses and establishing a comprehensive jewelry design curriculum and talent training system at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University’s School of Fashion.
In her artistic endeavors, she won the Gold Award at the “Zhongyi Cup” Innovation Design Competition organized by the China Arts and Crafts Association. Her works have been showcased in the China International Contemporary Metal Art Exhibition (supported by the National Art Fund), the Contemporary Jewelry and Metal Art Triennial, and European touring exhibitions.
