Leslie Eva Tayloe
Leslie Eva Tayloe lives with her partner, Michael on a 78-acre farm in Virginia. Their combined family includes five grown children, and seven grandchildren, two cats, named O’Malley and Booboo, and a dog, named Frankie. It was Michael who taught her how to fish. The thrill of holding her own pole, baiting her own line and reeling in her own fish inspired her to write this story. This is her picture book debut.
Leslie has a master’s degree in the field of human resource management from the University of Maryland. She was a substitute teacher for three years for elementary-school-aged children. Prior to teaching, she retired from the federal government after 33 years of service. When Leslie isn’t writing, you’ll find her reading, taking long walks and maintaining the flower and vegetable gardens.
