John T Greene was born in Dublin and, after his boarding education, commenced work in insurance in Dublin in 1957. Then in 1961, he emigrated to the UK to work in the city of London again in insurance and eventually moved to Birmingham and from there to the North West where he is a director in an insurance brokerage.
