Born in 1966, James Martin gained a Master’s degree in Germanic Studies, with minors in French and Philosophy, at Melbourne University. He has been a certified book-worm all his life and began writing with gusto in his early twenties. The current volume is the result of an interest in the sonnet form dating back to a verse written in response to the death of a fellow parishioner in 1999. He is no longer observant.
