Helen Jia, mathematics teacher and analyst programmer, is now a prize-winning writer.
She has won literary awards for fiction such as Angry Lizard and poems
such as Red Spider. Her works often explore human nature through
her unique analytical lens and natural penchant for metaphors.
Her poetry collection A Century of Serenity was published in 2016
after winning a publication prize for best manuscript. She lives in sunny Sydney,
Australia, where the pace of life is as gentle as the waves that lap the shores.
