Amanda Given

Amanda Given spent a peripatetic childhood in England and Northern Ireland before her family moved to Tasmania when she was a teenager. She studied English, Speech and Drama at university and was employed as a teacher and social worker while studying for post-graduate law and administration qualifications, holding subsequent roles in business management, property development, university administration and counselling organisations. Early short stories were published in magazines and anthologies. Amanda was a founding member of Redress Press.


For The Time Being is the sequel to Amanda’s first novel, Making Old Bones, which was published in 2020.
