Gerard Hindmarsh
Born in Wellington 1957, Gerard Hindmarsh trained first as a cartographer before shifting to journalism in 1990. His award-winning work has featured in many publications both in New Zealand and internationally, for many years and also serving as Asian correspondent for New Zealand’s National Radio. His previous books include Angelina, Swamp Fever, Kahurangi Calling, Kahurangi Stores, Outsiders, Kahawai—The People’s Dish, and Kahurangi Out West. He has five children and lives on his small farm at Tukurua in Golden Bay, New Zealand with his wife Melanie.
