Emily Rice grew up in the same village as the first witch to be executed in England, Agnes Waterhouse. After researching the local witch, Emily became fascinated in history, and her history teachers encouraged an interest in female historical figures. So, with the help of her research and analytical skills gained from her studying at the University of York, Emily spent the 2020 Lockdown writing her first book, Women Forgotten in History.
