Stephen was born in 1957 in Beverley East Yorkshire and whilst his parents Jean and Tony Dobbs were ecstatically happy his elder brother Kevan wasn‘t. He wanted a rabbit.
He grew up in the seaside town of Hornsea where his father worked at the local pottery (as did he) mother was a housewife. He has two brothers on younger and one older and with a freshwater lake close by and the north sea around the corner, the holderness countryside as well, insipation was not a problem for him.
