Caroline Jones Lewis

Born in the Welsh mining valleys, Caroline Jones Lewis was adopted at an early age and brought up in the West Country. Grammar school educated, she enjoyed a career in office and accounts management both abroad and in the city of London, where she earned the freedom of the city. In later years, she has fostered, for short periods, a number of children and young people and removed them from unsafe environments. Now retired, she has time to indulge in her passion for writing influenced by classics including Dickens, Jane Austin, the Brontë sisters; favoured contemporary writers such as Khaled Hosseini, Marcus Zusak; and classical poets such as Maya Angelou. She has a strong interest in the condition of society and in the pursuit of social justice.
