Alasdair Romanes spent 35 years as a French teacher, sports coach, commentator and general factotum in three schools. He now spends his time reading, walking and running slowly. From time to time, he will snap a photograph.

He has written several hundred essays, known as ‘Romanes Rants’, on a wide range of subjects and one short novel: ‘Junk Male’.
