Adekunle Jegede
Born in London, England, and raised in an artistic Nigerian culture, Adekunle has always been exposed to storytelling from his father who is an artist.
Growing up in a family where creativity and expression through art was encouraged, Adekunle soon found himself drawing and having an interest in his father's artwork. Over the years to come, he followed his father to exhibitions, art shows and teachings while gathering his own artistic ideas. Motivated by his love for art, he went to Chelsea College of Arts to develop other artistic skills like illustration, graphic designing and animation. To have an even deeper knowledge, he continued his studies at Art University of Bournemouth. After his graduation, he spent half a year in Hungary as an intern at Kedd Animation Studio and was involved and assisted in various short stories targeted for children. This allowed Adekunle to gain first-hand experience in storytelling and cartoon making.
While illustrations being his main passion, Adekunle also enjoys painting. His artworks have been shown in Saatchi Gallery and he was chosen among the top three artists at CARISCC artwork competition.
